She is survived by her parents, Alvin and Cynthia Toucheque; siblings, Dean, Thomas, and Alvin “Boogie” Toucheque, Jr.; and grandparents, John Toucheque and Mable, John Hollier and Celina, Hollier.

Before her death, Melissa resided at 1410 Bonville St, Houma, LA 70360 (Terrebonne County as of May 2021) and 1037 Gloria Kern Drive, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517 (Gibson, LA 70356). She was well-connected to many people in the community, such as Bradley Stelly and his brother, Glynn, Robichaux, and Kelly Foret, as well as Michelle Saffel and Amanda Breaux.

Family:

John, Melissa’s husband of 52 years, and their four children, Susan, Michael, Karen, and David, survived her. Additionally, she is survived by her Emily, Ryan, Olivia, Jacob, Samantha, and Matthew, who called her “Nanny” affectionately.

In 1992, she was the salutatorian of her class. Melissa proceeded to go to Louisiana State College in Implement Rouge on an educational grant. She also studied promotion, with a minor in business organization. Melissa excelled academically and was named to the Dean’s List each semester. In 1996, Melissa graduated magna cum laude from LSU with a Four-year education in science certification in Promotin. She could also pursue a graduate degree thanks to her outstanding academic performance. Melissa was awarded a full scholarship to attend Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business MBA program. She studied brand management and consumer while attending Duke. Melissa graduated with distinction in 1998, procuring an Expert of Business Organization degree.

Interests And Activities:

Melissa had far-reaching interests and leisure activities she had sought throughout her life. She participated in local tournaments and was an avid tennis player when she was younger. Later in life, she took up golf and joined the local country club, where she enjoyed competing in ladies’ league events.
